Description

"Green Is the Color of Its Flame" is a celebration of spring as described by Henry David Thoreau in "Walden". The work depicts a musical journey through the seasons, beginning and ending with the wave of green fire sweeping over the musical hillsides. Above an exciting and rewarding accompaniment, the choir revels in ringing harmonies, invigorating rhythms, and inspiring words. May music remind us even in the deadest of life’s winters to put forth our “green blade to eternity”, move from “sod into the summer”, and strive toward “fresh life below”.
