Description
We Make Music, commissioned by the Marin School of the Arts, sets an excerpt of Drew Dellinger’s poem of the same name. “Scattered shards of shattered stars. We make music.” Small fragments repeated individually by each singer create a texture evocative of the imagery in Dellinger’s writing. This is balanced by rich harmonies against the moments of fragility.
