Description

A haunting opening motif sets the mood for this beautiful meditation. The text is two contrasting poems, one sacred and one secular, both of which reference the Shrine of our Lady of Walsingham. The countertenor moves melodically against a swelling homophonic background creating a lyrical effect which brings the spiritual and earthly together.
